This fine gem is a rare example of Lightning Ridge crystal opal.

Mined in the 1960s. Only a very small amount of this type of opal has ever seen the light of day.

This stone explodes with colour with direct light source and when held in shade. Brilliant blue green orange full fire throughout with a bright pink orange body colour, a definitive character of "Ridge crystal", making this stone the most desirable of all opals.

A phenomenal gem for a true opal aficionado .
